A Corporate AFC Leopards to attract Investors

Cash starved AFC Leopards Sports Club is set to attract massive investment from strategic investors once it transforms its structure from the current society to a corporate entity.
The capital injection will enable the club to invest in competitive playing and technical units that can turn around performance on the pitch within months. This was part of the submissions by AFC Corporate Task Force in Mombasa last weekend while engaging members of Mombasa and 001 branch.
The Task Force also explained to branch members the connection between investment and accountability, transparency and performance, and how they relate to a solid governance structure that promotes the same.
“Capital investment follows a solid structure that promotes accountability, transparency and performance”, said Richard Ekhalie, the secretary of the Task Force in one of the presentations. He said that the same cannot be said of the current society structure that is weak and porous, thus unattractive to investors.
Apart from immediate investment in the playing and technical units, capital inflows into the club will be channelled towards talent development from the grassroots and through structured academies. This will have a ripple effect on the supply chain of the main squad.
The other immediate benefit of the capital injection is the sporting infrastructure development with proper professional training facilities prioritised. With increased revenue, the club will be able to upgrade its facilities and infrastructure, which directly impacts player performance.
Modern training complexes, cutting-edge medical facilities, and advanced analytics departments contribute to better preparation, injury prevention, and overall team efficiency. The club stands to reap the benefits of these investments, translating off-field improvements into consistent on-field success.
The Task Force is set to engage independent members of the club and diaspora based members on digital space on Monday next week. Other club members who missed out on the physical meetings are free to join the online engagement.
Other AFC Corporate Task Force members who participated in the Coastal tour are Chairman Vincent Shimoli, Treasurer & Club Patron Alex Muteshi, Assistant Secretary Laureen Aseka, Clarence Jumba, Bramwel Aino and Nelly Mwashi.
