Major Sports events to look forward to in 2025

2025 is packed with exciting sports events across the world. Here are some of the major ones to look forward to:
We will look at the events Kenya will participate in first, they include:
Hosted by Kenya:
- African Nations Championships (CHAN) 2024: Co-hosted with Uganda and Tanzania from February 1-28, 2025. This tournament will be held at Nyayo National Stadium and Kasarani Stadium in Kenya.
- Africa U20 Cup of Nations: Kenya’s junior team will participate in this tournament held in Côte d’Ivoire from April 26 to May 25, 2025.
Kenya’s Participation:
- World Athletics Indoor Championships: To be held in Nanjing, China from March 21-23, 2025.
- Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON): Held in Morocco from July 5-26, 2025.
- World Athletics Championships: Scheduled for Tokyo, Japan from September 13-21, 2025.
- Women’s World Volleyball Championships: Kenya’s Malkia Strikers will compete in Bangkok, Thailand from August 22 to September 7, 2025.
