Harambee Starlets head coach Beldine Odemba has been crowned the Sports Journalists Association of Kenya (SJAK) Coach of the Month for October, following her remarkable leadership in guiding Kenya’s national women’s football team to a historic qualification for the 2026 CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

Odemba’s tactical brilliance and motivational presence were instrumental as the Starlets overcame Cameroon in a dramatic two-legged qualifier, securing their spot in the continental showpiece for the first time since 2016. Her achievement not only reignited national pride but also spotlighted the growing strength of women’s football in Kenya.
