Cole Palmer Out Until December with Fractured Toe

Chelsea have been dealt a major blow with confirmation that star attacker Cole Palmer will miss the next three matches after fracturing his toe in a domestic accident.
The 23-year-old Englishman, who has scored, had only just returned to full training following a groin problem when the new injury occurred at home.Manager Enzo Maresca confirmed the setback on Thursday, ruling Palmer out of Saturday’s Premier League trip to Burnley, Tuesday’s Champions League last-16 first leg against Barcelona at Stamford Bridge, and almost certainly the high-profile London derby against Arsenal on 30 November.
“Cole fractured his toe at home. It’s bad luck, but these things happen,” Maresca told reporters. “We expect him to be back after the international break in early December.”
Palmer has been central to Chelsea’s since arriving 3 seasons ago from Man City. He has been undoubtedly Chelsea’s best player. His absence leaves a significant creative miss. But Chelsea have Estevao Willian and Buonanotte who can play at the Central Attack midfield position.
Chelsea currently sit third in the Premier League table, 6 points behind leaders Arsenal. Man City are 2nd. The club have very able replacements now rto fill the void during a demanding festive schedule.
